In keeping with the Poultry Days theme this year "Are You Ready For Some Poultry?"  The Towne & Country Players are excited to announce they will be performing the award winning British musical comedy "Honk!" for their June musical.  Production dates will be June 6, 7, 10, 11 and 12.  Written by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, "Honk!" is a musical adaption of the Hans Christian Anderson story of the Ugly Duckling.  "Honk!" became a stand-out by winning the Olivier Award (the British equivalent of the Tony Award) for Best New Musical in 2000.

"Honk!" is a heartwarming comedy to be enjoyed by both young and old.  The lead roles will be played by teenagers and adults.  Auditions for the lead roles will be held on Monday, March 30 from 6-9 pm at the Versailles Elementary Gym.  There will be roles for smaller kids but ages and audition times will be announced at a later date.  If you would like to learn more about this show, you can see many clips for the show on YouTube or by contacting the director, Therese Pohlman at 526-5566.
